Banded Rooster Restaurant
Don't forget to add your breakfast and lunch when making your lodging, trail ride and/or Holler Hoppin' Zip Lines reservations!
Tucked into the stalls of the Buck Inn Banquet Barn is the Banded Rooster. ‘Banded’ is old west slang for being hungry. The rooster part… well at the time we named the Rooster, we had one mean rooster who liked to try to attack our wrangler and office gal every morning. So, we named it the Banded Rooster. Try it, you will like it. The dining space is cozy and comfortable and evokes a Brown County atmosphere!
The second best time in a rancher's day is breakfast, second only to the moment he/she has completed the last chore of the day. Rawhide Ranch USA is now able to share this time with its guests. You are invited to join us every morning at 9 a.m. for an old-fashioned belly bustin’ meal. Breakfast is served in the Banded Rooster dining room, which is on the first floor of the Buck Inn barn. For planning purposes, we do ask that you make a reservation… but if you decide last minute, please head on down for some great grub, and we will do our best to accommodate your group.

Banded Rooster Grill
The eastern paddock of the Buck Inn Banquet Barn has been fully converted from a horse area to a grilled food consumption zone. You will find a beautiful paved area full of outdoor seating in view of the Banded Rooster's grill.
Bison Cheese Steak - We thinly slice a cut of flat iron bison steak and prepare it to just over a medium temp. Then we take sautéed onions and green peppers, toss them with the bison, top it with provolone cheese and serve it on a garlic hoagie roll. Served with potato chips. - $11.99
Hot Italian Sausage Sandwich - God love the Loves! We get our sausage from Loveland Farms, a local family who have been making sausage before Jimmy Dean decided it was the cool thing. We take that local sausage, split it and then cook it until it is just right. Toss that onto a bun and top with sautéed onions and green peppers -- mmmmm ... good. Also served with potato chips. - $9.99
Ranch Burger – Choose between a quarter pound or a half pound of local ground beef seasoned with our own mixture and tossed on the grill. You get your choice of provolone, pepper jack or American cheese on top. It is then completed with onions, tomato and some green. Served in a basket with potato chips. - $7.99/quarter pound burger, $9.99/half pound burger
Chicken in a Bush – This sandwich is one of a kind. Juicy grilled chicken breast marinated in our own blend of spices, topped with provolone cheese and grilled asparagus. Served with potato chips. – $9.99
Pulled Pork – We take a heap of pulled pork, slow smoked with a Rawhide Ranch Rub and serve it on a toasted double cut bun. You’ll have a choice of sauce – sweet, spicy, our own Cowboy Sauce, and a Carolina vinegar sauce. Served with potato chips. - $9.99
Portobello Mushroom Sandwich – For our vegetarian friends, we’ve created a delicious sandwich with an olive oil and herb marinated Portobello mushroom cap topped with provolone cheese and served on a toasted double cut bun. Served with potato chips. - $9.99
Bratwurst Sandwich – Again we use locally sourced meat from Loveland Farms to create this scrumptious sandwich. An authentic, lean, German style bratwurst grilled to perfection and topped with sautéed onions and peppers. Served with chips, this sandwich is sure to satisfy your taste buds! - $9.99
Hot Dog – For younger folks or those with a more traditional taste, enjoy 2 ballpark style franks off the grill and served on a toasted hoagie bun. Served with chips. - $7.99
More sandwich options to be announced as we experiment in the kitchen.

The Rooster is open every day from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The Banded Rooster is not your typical restaurant. We ask for advance notice of your intent to join us for a meal but realize that is not always possible. If you can't call ahead, just show up and we will get you some grub as soon as possible.
