Day outings
A term we use to describe a group who is not looking for lodging but needs a place to entertain, educate or just hang out for the day. We are able to tailor any number of programs to meet your specific needs. Give us a call and let's see what we can create for you.
Senior Class Trips
Baptist Academy brings the Senior and Junior classes to the ranch for a morning of team building and group facilitation. This one morning of activity helps to unify the two classes and sets the tone for the remaining year.
Field Trips
Girls Inc., Boys & Girls club and other nonprofit organizations have utilized the ranch property for many years. Girls Inc. annually brings a gaggle of girls to the ranch for a day of horseback riding, general horse care/maintance instructions and just plain fun.
Day camps
Franklin Park and Rec swarms the property once a year with 70 kids of all ages. We have set up a program that rotates their campers through 5 stations; horseback riding, horse grooming lessons, free time and crafts.
Scouting trips
Rawhide Ranch is certified to instruct Girl Scouts on the proper handling, grooming, tacking and riding to further them towards their badges. The amount of time required will entirely depend on the troop size but a typical troop will be a two hour process; one hour spent in ground lessons followed by a 45 minute trailride. We don't mean to exclude the Boy Scouts and are willing to figure out a way to accomodate their merit badge program.
Family picnics
We have been able to accomodate families looking for that location to enjoy an afternoon gathering just like the old days.
